Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a premium gaming setup. And for those people, cloud gaming service is the key. While there are many cloud gaming service providers out there, the best ones are Nvidia GeForce Now & Google’s Stadia. In this article, we’ll be comparing both cloud gaming services so that you can play the best!

Availability throughout the globe
How are you supposed to use the service when it’s not even available in your country? GeForce Now cloud gaming service is available in 81 different countries and covers almost every part of the US and Europe while the Google Stadia is only available in 22 and even in these countries, Stadia controllers are not available in some of them.
GeForce Now and stadia, both services aren’t available in most of Asia including India, but at least GeForce Now can be accessed by connecting to some server of a supported country via some VPN bypass trick which isn’t the case with Google Stadia as it requires you to constantly be connected to that VPN server which isn’t practical as the Internet speed gets extremely low over VPN connections.
Plans & Pricing
GeForce now comes with 3 available plans including a free one where you get access to standard gaming rigs with a limit of 1 hour per session and unlimited sessions which means, you’ll have to restart your game once every 1 hour, so practically it’s unlimited.
Even with the free plan, you’ll not have to wait any more than 5-10 minutes and you still get a Full HD gameplay experience while everything else is the same as the other 2 premium plans, with no game restriction. nothing!
The first premium plan of GeForce now costs the US $9.99/month and so does Google Stadia’s Pro plan. Its other two plans include the founders plan where you can play for up to 6 hours per session at 1080p/60 FPS and an RTX 3080 plan where you get exclusive access to their RTX 3080 equipped servers with an extended session length of 8 hours and resolution of up to 1440p @ 120 FPS also with RTX on here and 4k HDR with shield TV. Google stadia also does provide a basic free plan where users can stream up to1080p @ 60 FPS but you’ll still need to buy a majority of the games just for stadia only and its Pro plan lets you play for unlimited hours at 4k HDR/60 FPS.
Huge Game Library
While the Stadia Pro subscription gives you some gaming titles every month, just like Xbox Game Pass & Playstation Now but that’s not enough. You still have to purchase most of the games for Stadia only but that isn’t the case with Nvidia GeForce Now. You don’t have to purchase any game specifically for GeForce now rather you can connect your Epic Games, Steam or Ubisoft account with GeForce Now and play the games you own on their platforms for free in GeForce Now.
Coming to the total number of games available on both the services, as of 2022 it’s over 1,100 on GeForce Now and around 200-250 on Google Stadia.
GeForce now adds as many games to their library as they can but some games they aren’t able to add since the game publisher itself does not agree to for whatever reasons and this is the case with GTA 5 which was initially available of GFN but had to be revoked after rockstar allegedly made a deal with Google Stadia.
So overall, GeForce Now is a clear winner over Stadia here.
Streaming Quality
The best GFN plan gets access to 4k gaming with RTX on @ 120 FPS while you can only achieve 4k HDR @ 60 FPS with Stadia. However though, like any other Internet streaming experience, higher quality connections will result in the best experience
Input Latency
This one is the most critical factor for a cloud gaming service. Everything else just doesn’t matter if the input latency gets to the point it becomes unplayable. So far in 2022, GeForce Now cloud gaming service is the best in almost all terms against Google Stadia or any other cloud gaming service including xCloud & Luna. If you don’t have a good PC but you want to play some rather high-end games, you should be choosing GeForce Now Cloud Gaming.
