- Requiem’s story will take place 6 months ahead of the events of Innocense.
A Plague Tale: Requiem, a direct sequel to the first A Plague Tale game called the “A Plague Tale: Innocense” was released in May 2019. For a little bit of context, the Plague Tale: Innocense was set in 14th century Aquitaine, France during the Hundred Years’ War with the main characters, Amicia de Rune and her little brother Hugo surviving their way through invading English Army & swarm of rats causing widespread Black Plague to defeat the leader of Inquisition, Vitalis – a main antagonist faction in the game, Lead by Grand Inquisitor Vitalis Bénévent
And in the end,
Hugo & Amicia together killed Vitalis, and after a few days both the rats as well as the plague disappear and life gets back to normal.
What will be the story of the Requiem
A Plague Tale Requiem will be taking place 6 months ahead of the events of APT: Innocense. Hugo’s curse is now under control so both the siblings will be travelling far south, away from their devasted homeland to start a new life. They are attempting to start a new life & find a cure for Hugo’s affliction but when Hugo’s power awakens the rats are coming back. What happens next remains to be discovered once the game is officially released.
A Plague Tale: Requiem Release Date

The game will be available on Xbox series X|S, Xbox One, PC & Xbox Game Pass on October 18. People with Xbox Game Pass will be the first ones to experience the game when it’ll be released officially.
